The Ministry of Education and Culture emphasizes, in its grant decisions, the number of registered participants in each sport as a criterion for granting goverment funding.

Badminton Finland´s traditional membership survey does not by itself meet the Ministry’s requirements; instead, the existence of participant numbers must be credibly verified.

For this reason, we kindly ask all members of badminton clubs in Finland to register as badminton player. Registration is free of charge and takes only a few minutes.

As a thank you, all club members who have registered by Monday, October 6, 2025, will receive a free ticket to the opening day of the Badminton World Tour event, CLASH OF CLANS Arctic Open, on Tuesday, October 7. Registration will, of course, continue after this date, but we can no longer give out a free ticket for this particular event. We hope as many clubs as possible will encourage their members to register—let’s turn the Arctic Open opening day into a big reunion of clubs. At the same time, you’ll get the chance to watch world-class badminton free of charge!

When registering, you will receive a Badminton player card in your Suomisport app. Registered participants will also receive the Association’s newsletter up to four times per year. All registrants will be sent instructions by email on how to claim their free ticket before the event.
